Job Description – Specification Manager (North)
Location : Delhi NCR (covering North India market)
Department : Sales (B2B – Specification)
Reports To : CEO (functional) / dotted-line to Commercial Manager
Role Summary
We are looking for a Specification Manager – North to drive brand approvals and specifications with architects, consultants, PMCs, and design-build firms . This role is critical to ensure Legero products are specified into projects, creating a structured pipeline for commercial closures and long-term brand preference.
Key Responsibilities
1. Specification Development
- Build and manage strong relationships with architects, interior designers, electrical consultants, and PMCs .
- Conduct design presentations, mock-ups, and technical discussions to secure brand approvals.
- Track projects from concept → design → tender stage , ensuring Legero is specified.
- Work closely with R&D / product team to support customization requirements for projects.
2. Pipeline Management (Core Responsibility)
Maintain an active project pipeline with clear stage-wise categorizationUpdate pipeline in CRM weekly with expected timelines, project value, and responsible decision-maker.Coordinate with Commercial Manager to hand over mature pipeline opportunities for closure.Review pipeline conversion ratios monthly with CEO.3. Collaboration with Commercial Team
Share approved projects with Commercial team for contractor / dealer engagement .Provide technical backing during commercial discussions, if needed.Ensure no leakage of opportunities between specification and closure.4. Market Intelligence & Brand Building
Monitor competitor products, pricing, and positioning.Recommend new product opportunities based on consultant / architect feedback.Represent Legero at industry events, seminars, and exhibitions to strengthen visibility.5. Reporting & Systems
Maintain CRM entries for all meetings, projects, and approvals .Submit weekly pipeline reports to CEO and Commercial Manager.Work on monthly reviews (approvals secured, pipeline health, spec-to-order ratio).Profile & Background
Experience : 7–10 years in specification sales (lighting, electricals, HVAC, furniture, glass, aluminium, façades, or building materials).Education : B.Tech (Electrical / Mechanical) or MBA preferred, but not mandatory.Network : Established relationships with top architects, consultants, PMCs in North India.Traits : Strong presentation & relationship skills, technically inclined, persistent pipeline manager, team collaborator.Show more
