Job Description
Job Purpose :
To lead, manage, and oversee the planning, financing, execution, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects within the assigned cluster. The role ensures alignment with organizational strategy, governance frameworks, and financial objectives, while driving operational excellence and risk management across the project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities :
1.
Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Management
- Lead the overall project portfolio within the assigned cluster, ensuring delivery of strategic infrastructure initiatives on time, within scope, and budget.
- Align projects with corporate goals, capital investment plans, and long-term business strategy.
- Drive performance through structured Project Management Office (PMO) practices and governance mechanisms.

Project Planning & Execution
Oversee project lifecycle from concept, feasibility, detailed engineering, procurement, execution, commissioning, and handover.Approve project charters, execution plans, resource allocation, and progress reporting.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams — engineering, procurement, finance, and operations — to ensure seamless execution.3.
Project Finance Management
Manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets, ensuring financial discipline and cost efficiency.Evaluate project financial models, funding structures (PPP, EPC, BOT, etc.), and ROI metrics.Liaise with financial institutions, lenders, and investors for project financing arrangements.4.
Risk & Cost Management
Develop and implement risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate project-level and portfolio-level risks.Conduct cost estimation, control, and value engineering to optimize spending without compromising quality.Monitor cost variances, cash flow, and budget utilization across projects.5.
Vendor & Contract Management
Manage end-to-end tendering, contract negotiation, and vendor performance evaluation.Ensure compliance with FIDIC / EPC / turnkey contract terms and organizational procurement policies.Develop strategic partnerships with vendors, consultants, and contractors to enhance execution capabilities.6.
Governance, Compliance & Quality
Ensure all projects adhere to statutory, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.Implement strong governance and reporting systems for project audits and compliance.Oversee quality control and assurance across all engineering and construction deliverables.7.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary project teams across multiple locations.Maintain effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders — government agencies, consultants, partners, and senior leadership.Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

Qualification & Experience :
Education :
o B.E. / B.Tech (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical)
o M.Tech / MBA (Project Management / Infrastructure / Finance preferred)
Experience :
o 20–25 years in Infrastructure Project Management, with at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role (GM / Cluster Head / Program Director).
o Experience in sectors like transportation, power, real estate, water, or urban infrastructure preferred.
Certifications (Desirable) : PMP®, PRINCE2®, PMI-RMP®, RICS, CCP (AACEI)Skills & Attributes :
