GIS Coordinator / Technical Executive

Objective -

To coordinate, manage, and ensure timely and quality delivery of GIS-related project activities — including data processing, map preparation, validation, and reporting — through effective communication between field, data, and client teams for smooth project execution. We are looking for Meghalaya (Garo Hills, Jaintia Hills and Khasi Hills)

Competence

Strong understanding of GIS workflows, data standards, and project coordination.

Ability to lead and communicate across multidisciplinary teams.

Result-oriented with attention to detail and quality compliance.

Education

B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Geoinformatics, or Geography.

Professional certification or diploma in GIS / Remote Sensing.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate GIS data processing, validation, and final map outputs.
• Ensure timely collection, integration, and QA / QC of spatial data.
• Supervise GIS operators and assign daily tasks based on project requirements.
• Maintain communication between field survey, data team, and project managers.
• Prepare project progress reports and assist in documentation for submissions.

Knowledge

GIS platforms : ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD.

Database management, projections, and coordinate systems.

Understanding of hydrology, topography, terrain data sets and canal network datasets.

Skills

Team coordination and scheduling.

Strong verbal and written communication.

Analytical and spatial reasoning.

Quality assurance and reporting skills.

Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and technical documentation.
