Location : Vile Parle Head Office, Mumbai

Industry : Furniture Manufacturing

Experience Required : 10+ years

Salary Range : ₹60,000 – ₹75,000 / month (In-hand)

Working Days : Monday to Saturday (Sunday Off)

Travel : Yes – occasional visits to Palghar Factory

About the Role

We’re seeking a seasoned Lead Engineer to spearhead product development for our furniture portfolio—from concept to production. This role blends technical leadership, hands-on engineering, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality furniture solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership : Guide a multidisciplinary team through concept creation, prototyping, validation, and production ramp-up.

Design & Validation : Oversee material selection, joinery techniques, and structural testing for engineered wood products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Design, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure DFM and feasibility.

Documentation : Create and review CAD drawings, BOMs, and installation guides.

Supplier Interface : Collaborate with vendors to optimize processes and resolve technical challenges.

Cost Optimization : Drive design-to-cost initiatives without compromising product performance.

✅ Must-Have Qualifications

Expertise in particle-board, MDF, plywood, and knock-down joinery

8–12 years in furniture or wood-based manufacturing

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools

Familiarity with hardware systems (Hettich, Häfele)

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities

Preferred Skills

Exposure to lean manufacturing or Six Sigma

Experience with PLM / ERP systems

Knowledge of sustainable materials and eco-friendly design

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field
