Role Summary
A Costing Controller plays a crucial role in managing and controlling product costs within a manufacturing organization. You will be responsible for Product costing activities including variance analysis and MIS reporting. Additionally, the Costing Controller will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensuring correct product routing and facilitate cost audit.
Roles And Responsibility
Standard Costing :
- Ensure correct standard cost calculations for products.
- Conduct cost variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Review Product cost Routing with Plant Managers
Product Cost Benchmarking
Compare product costs across different manufacturing plants and sub-contracting locations.Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.Review negative margin SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) and collaborate with plant managers to address cost-related issues.Annual Overhead Cost Recovery Rate
Set up and maintain the annual overhead cost recovery rate.Collaborate with relevant departments to allocate overhead costs accurately.Monthly Costing Run
Oversee the monthly costing process performed by the costing team.Ensure accuracy and address any errors promptly.Audits
Support Statutory and other audits.MIS Reporting
