Key Responsibilities :
Costing & Budgeting
- Prepare standard cost sheets for products / projects and update regularly based on input changes
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts in coordination with operations and finance teams
- Track actual vs. standard costs and analyze variances (material, labor, overhead)
Cost Control & Analysis
Identify cost-saving opportunities and assist in setting cost control measuresAnalyze manufacturing costs and support pricing decisions and margin improvementPerform cost-benefit analysis for projects, capital investments, and operational changesReporting & Compliance
Prepare cost reports, MIS, and financial summaries for senior managementEnsure compliance with cost accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirementsSupport internal and external audits by providing cost-related documentationCross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with procurement, production, and project teams to gather accurate cost dataAssist in ERP implementation or cost module optimization (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP)Qualifications :
ICWA / CMA Qualified or Inter (mandatory)Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related fieldExperience :
4–8 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing, EPC, engineering, or project-based industriesExperience working with cost modules in ERP systemsKey Skills :
Strong knowledge of cost accounting standards and practicesExcellent analytical and numerical skillsAdvanced Excel and proficiency in accounting / ERP systemsAttention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlinesGood communication and stakeholder coordination skillsSkills Required
