Design Manager – Mechanical Engineering

Education : Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering

Experience : Minimum 15 years in Design (Compulsory)

Location :  Pune / PCMC

Responsibilities :

Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks for design work.

Lead and guide a team of Design Engineers.

Develop design concepts based on project requirements.

Perform technical engineering calculations for cylinders, PPK, hydraulic and structural components.

Prepare and review technical drawings and BOMs.

Check and finalize design and material specifications for tenders.

Plan and allocate work within the design team.

Maintain all design records, reports and documentation.

Improve design based on project learnings and customer feedback.

Train and mentor the team on new technology and design methods.

Ensure all designs meet engineering standards and quality norms.

Skills :

Strong product design and problem-solving ability.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Organized and time-efficient.

Sound knowledge of design principles, hydraulics and industry practices

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and experience in Engineering Management

Proven expertise in Project Management and Team Leadership

Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and other engineering design tools

Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and organizational aptitude

Familiarity with quality assurance processes and modern manufacturing technologies

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Prior experience in the material handling equipment industry is advantageous

Ability to work on-site in Haveli and manage cross-functional engineering teams
