Summary :
The Investment Banking Associate will play a critical role in all phases of transaction execution, including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and preparation of client presentations and pitch books for both domestic and cross-border M&A deals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Modeling & Valuation : Construct and analyze complex financial models, including LBO, DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
- Pitch Book Preparation : Develop compelling and well-researched pitch books and marketing materials for potential clients.
- Due Diligence : Coordinate and participate in the due diligence process, liaising with clients, legal counsel, and other advisors.
- Market Research : Monitor and analyze industry trends, public company performance, and M&A deal flow within specific sectors (e.g., Tech, Healthcare, Consumer).
- Client Management : Assist senior bankers in managing client relationships and transaction workstreams from initiation to closing.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
MBA (Mandatory) : Full-time MBA with a specialization in Finance from a premier / Tier-1 institution.Chartered Accountant (CA) or CFA Level II / III is highly preferred.Experience : 3-6 years of experience, with direct experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or Transaction Advisory at a top-tier firm.Exceptional command over MS Excel for advanced financial modeling and MS PowerPoint for presentations.In-depth knowledge of accounting, financial statement analysis, and valuation methodologies(ref : iimjobs.com)
