Role Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Head of Sales to lead national revenue growth by building and managing a strong sales organization across retail, HNI, corporate, and channel partner ecosystems. The ideal leader will bring proven experience in driving scale, managing distributed teams, and implementing sales strategies across the bancassurance and financial product distribution ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Sales Strategy
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales force including RMs, Channel Heads, Zonal / Regional Managers, and Partner Development teams.
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term sales strategies aligned to AUM growth and revenue targets.
- Expand business through bancassurance alliances, corporate partnerships, wealth partner networks, DSAs, and B2B distribution channels.
- Forecast sales, monitor performance metrics, and drive strong accountability culture.
Revenue & Growth Management
Drive AUM, revenue, market penetration and partner activation across India.Grow sales across MF, SIF, PMS / AIF, Bonds, Insurance, Unlisted equity and other investment products.Create scalable frameworks for acquisition, retention, and cross-sell & up-sell initiatives.Set quarterly revenue roadmaps and KPI dashboards.Team & Capability Building
Train teams on financial products, consultative selling, compliance, and customer engagement.Foster a culture of performance, discipline and customer-centricity.Recruit and onboard high-quality sales talent nationwide.Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
Manage and expand relationships with banks, NBFCs, insurers, AMCs, brokers, RIAs, and channel partners.Negotiate distribution arrangements, commission frameworks and joint marketing partnerships.Compliance & Governance
Ensure strict adherence with SEBI, IRDAI, RBI, AMFI, and regulatory norms.Implement structured sales processes and CRM adoption.Brand & Market Enablement
Lead offline + digital investor engagement programs, seminars, events & roadshows.Collaborate with marketing for campaigns and brand visibility.Candidate Profile
Must Have
8–15+ yrs experience leading large sales teams in bank assurance, insurance distribution, wealth management, AMC / Brokerage / NBFC channels.Proven track record in scaling revenues, driving AUM growth & building high-performance teams.Strong understanding of financial / investment products & compliance frameworks.Ability to operate at strategic and execution levels simultaneously.Strong leadership presence, networking ability & communication skills.Good to Have
Exposure to HNI / UHNI & Corporate salesExperience working with technology-enabled distribution modelsNISM or AMFI certification preferredKPIs
