The IT Asset Manager is responsible for managing the lifecycle of all IT assets (hardware and software) across the organization. This includes procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and disposal
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement IT asset management (ITAM) strategies and policies.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets including hardware, software, licenses, and contracts.
- Track asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, ensuring quality control and compliance.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze asset data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve asset utilization.
- Coordinate with IT support teams for asset deployment, upgrades, and replacements.
- Ensure secure disposal of obsolete or non-functional IT assets.
- Generate reports on asset performance, cost, and risk for senior management.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.1+ years of experience in IT asset management or IT operations.Skills Required
