Role : Retail Store Manager — Gokyo Outdoor Clothing & Gear

Location : Wakad, Pune (candidates from Central Mumbai preferred)

Experience : 5–10 years in apparel retail;

outdoors, athleisure, or sportswear preferred

Role summary

Own end-to-end store operations and deliver sustained sales growth. Lead, coach, and scale a high-performance team while upholding Gokyo’s customer experience, visual standards, and operational discipline.

Key responsibilities

Achieve monthly revenue, conversion, ATV, and UPT targets

Workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and weekly coaching;

build a strong bench

Daily SOPs : opening / closing, cash, billing, stock receiving, RTV, shrink control

Inventory health : cycle counts, replenishment, size-curve integrity, ageing control

Visual merchandising execution and weekly refreshes aligned to brand guidelines

Local marketing : community outreach, trek clubs, partnerships, and micro-events

Reporting : daily MIS, sell-through, bestsellers / slow movers, and action plans

Coordination with HO for supply, VM, marketing, HR, and finance

Qualifications

5–10 years’ apparel retail experience with at least 2 years leading a store team

Track record of meeting sales targets and improving KPIs in outdoor / athleisure / sportswear

Strong people leadership, rota planning, and performance management

Proficient with POS, Excel / MIS, inventory systems, and basic retail math

Customer-first mindset;

calm under pressure;

hands-on problem solving

Flexibility for weekends / holidays, physical store work, and periodic travel for training

Nice to have

Local market knowledge of Wakad, Pune and nearby catchments

Passion for outdoors, trekking, travel communities, or endurance sports

Experience launching new stores or turning around underperforming ones
