Digital Content Development - Australian Community Media

We are seeking a proactive, dynamic digital journalist to join The Senior, equipped to drive digital growth. The role will see you generate, develop and pitch ideas for original content, which elevate the voices and perspectives of Australians over 55. You will also be responsible for driving growth through newsletter curation and social media.

About us :

The Senior has been a trusted free source of news since 1978, and published online and in print across NSW / ACT, VIC, QLD, SA, WA and TAS. We are part of ACM (Australian Community Media), Australia's largest independent media organisation with a network of 140 newspapers and websites.

About you :

• Experience in digital journalism or content creation with an understanding of SEO and what's trending
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Data-driven mindset, with experience / understanding of using audience metrics to guide decision-making
• A high attention to detail, organised and self-motivated
• The ability to work as part of a team and autonomously (if in a remote working environment)
• An understanding of major issues affecting readers of The Senior
