Job description

is a pioneer in India's energy sector, providing doorstep fuel delivery to B2B clients. We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on, and results-oriented Manager - Last Mile B2B Operations to lead and optimize our operations within a specific region / metro area. This role is crucial for ensuring day-to-day operational excellence, client satisfaction, and compliance at the ground level.

Key Operations & Execution :

  • Oversee all day-to-day last-mile operations within the assigned region / metro, including scheduling, dispatch, and delivery of specialized Refuellers (FuelBuddy Tankers).
  • Manage the delivery process to ensure 100% adherence to all client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and delivery time windows.
  • Implement and execute route optimization strategies to maximize fleet efficiency and minimize operating costs per litre delivered.
  • Monitor real-time fleet movement using telematics and technology platforms, proactively addressing any deviations or delays.

Compliance, Safety & Audits :

  • Ensure absolute compliance with all PESO (Petroleum Explosives Safety Organisation) regulations and local statutory requirements related to fuel handling, transportation, and delivery.
  • Conduct regular, mandatory operational audits of the fleet, drivers, delivery points, and process documentation to ensure quality, safety, and inventory integrity.
  • Champion the safety culture at the regional level, ensuring all team members follow standard operating procedures for safe and compliant fuel delivery.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management :

  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for key B2B clients in the region, conducting weekly check-ins to review performance and resolve any operational issues.
  • Coordinate effectively with the Sales, Customer Success, and Maintenance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and immediate resolution of customer feedback.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with local fuel depots, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Team Management & Development :

  • Lead, train, and manage a team of supervisors, dispatchers, and tanker operators (drivers).
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team skills in safety, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Manage team scheduling, attendance, and local labor compliance.
  • Performance Reporting & Improvement :

  • Track, analyze, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including utilization rate, fuel consumption, delivery efficiency, and cost per litre.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and propose data-backed solutions for continuous process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all operational data using the internal technology stack.
  • Required Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.

    Experience : 8-10 years of total professional experience, with a minimum of 4 years in hands-on, B2B last-mile logistics, fleet operations management within a fast-paced environment. Experience managing commercial vehicles or hazardous goods logistics is a significant advantage.

    Domain Knowledge : Strong working knowledge of logistics management, scheduling, route planning, and fleet maintenance. Familiarity with PESO regulations is highly desirable.

    Skills : Excellent analytical, leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

    Technology : Proficiency in using logistics software, GPS tracking systems, and MS Excel for reporting and analysis.

    Mobility : Must be willing to travel extensively within the assigned region.

    Willing to work 6 days work-week.
