Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain the backbone of our telehealth applications. You will play a key role in architecting services, managing deployment environments, and ensuring that our systems are secure, efficient, and reliable at scale.
Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. Architect, optimize, and implement solutions using Node.js, Nest.js, and modern backend frameworks.
- Manage databases, integrations, and real-time data flow across platforms.
- Oversee product deployment environments including AWS (EC2 instances, Lambda, S3 RDS, etc. ). Work with Firebase for authentication, cloud functions, and real-time databases.
- Implement and manage Postmark (transactional email service) for secure communication. Ensure security, compliance, and performance for sensitive healthcare data.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to deliver end-to-end features.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and CI / CD best practices for deployment.
Requirements :
Proven experience as a Backend Developer / Senior Software Engineer (5+ years preferred). Proficiency in Node.js and Nest.js . Strong knowledge of backend frameworks and architectural patterns (microservices, serverless, REST, GraphQL).Hands-on experience with Firebase services (auth, cloud messaging, Firestore).Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure (EC2 IAM, S3 RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, etc. ). Experience in managing product deployment environments and CI / CD pipelines.Familiarity with Postmark or other transactional email systems. Deep understanding of security best practices, especially with sensitive data (HIPAA / GDPR is a plus).Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize system performance. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Nice to Have Experience in telehealth, healthtech, or HIPAA-compliant systems. Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
