Role Summary / Objective
The Medical Advisor at Luxora will serve as a bridge between patients, doctors, hospitals, and internal operations. This role requires sound clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to understand both medical and logistical aspects of medical travel. As part of a medical-tourism company, your advice and coordination will help ensure safe, high-quality, and patient-centric experiences across domestic and international healthcare partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess medical reports, referral documents, lab results, imaging, and clinical histories submitted by patients.
- Provide initial medical opinion / triage / assessment to determine suitability for treatments, surgeries, or procedures.
- Liaise with partner hospitals, clinics, and doctors (domestic and abroad) to clarify medical protocols, patient eligibility, prerequisites, and post-operative care.
- Assist in designing medical itineraries, treatment plans, and coordinating care pathways (pre-treatment, during travel, post-treatment follow-ups).
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety norms, and quality standards when engaging new hospital / doctor partners.
- Monitor patient progress, follow up on complications, and escalate issues to senior medical team or partners when needed.
- Prepare case summaries, medical documentation, and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support internal training for non-medical staff (e.g. coordinators, customer care) on basic medical terminology, processes, patient safety, risk factors, and red flags.
- Stay updated with latest medical trends, treatment modalities, and international healthcare standards relevant to specialties Luxora offers (e.g. dentistry, cosmetic surgery, orthopedics, IVF, etc.).
- Provide medical input into new service offerings, protocol development, risk management, and product / service improvements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree (recognized by relevant dental / medical council)Experience
Freshers to 2 years of experience acceptable (clinical internships, observership, or brief clinical exposure is advantageous)Exposure or internship in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare settings preferredSkills & Competencies
