Looking for an experienced index quant specialist to support Financial Services clients in driving their QIS / Index business. The candidate will lead work in the UK in client offices and will be responsible to ensure the alignment of clients business Investment Strategies offering meet the required quality and suitability for the different clients need the development and operations of Indices / Investment Strategies that meet the required quality and suitability for the different clients needs
- Lead projects and manage a team of index quants
- Work closely with the clients to understand their business needs and bring it back to the team for execution
- Support clients to design, develop and maintain QIS strategies across asset classes
- Work closely with sales and trading departments of the client
- Collaborate with other support functions within the business.
- Develop efficient tools to automate manual processes.
- Design and develop infrastructure to support QIS desks
What we are looking for
Undergraduate degree in any of the following disciplines : finance, mathematics, physics or engineering.Masters in quantitative finance or in any other quantitative field. CFA / CQF.10+ years of experience either in Quantitative areas of either Global Markets unit, or an Asset Management company.A good understanding of the investment process, investment management industry, portfolio theory, and financial marketsGood knowledge of the fundamental factors driving assets returnsGood practical knowledge of derivativesExperience with the following programming languages : VBA, Python.Knowledge of analytical platforms such as Bloomberg, EIKON, DataScope, Factset, etc.Can do' attitude and ability to take initiative.Strong attention to detail.Flexibility and ability to work in a self-directed environment as well as, collaborate with others and seek guidance when needed.Excellent communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders in various geographies.Can adapt to change.Skills Required
