Purpose of the Role
The GA Analyst is responsible for accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and processing of general accounting activities. This includes activities in general accounting, reporting, fixed assets, accounts receivable, credit, accounts payable, costing, performance reporting, statutory accounting, and direct tax. The role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and high-quality service delivery within the Finance Business & Technology (FBT) team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform reconciliations of systems to ensure balance and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accuracy and completeness in all general accounting and reporting transactions
- Provide timely and relevant financial advice and reporting to internal stakeholders
- Investigate and resolve outstanding general accounting and reporting issues
- Support statutory reporting and audits in collaboration with auditors
- Manage Blackline reconciliations
- Identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities
- Liaise with senior stakeholders across the business for issue resolution and process alignment
- Develop a strong understanding of business operations and customer requirements
- Coordinate activities across multiple time zones and systems
- Maintain familiarity with ERP systems and ensure accounts balance correctly
