7 years of experience designing and building mechanical systems, preferably robotic systemsTechnical skill RequirementsStrong intuition for relevant math & physicsgeometry, trigonometry, calculuskinematics, dynamics, and material propertiesStrong fundamentals of mechanical engineeringapplied mechanics, strength of materials, component sizing, linkages & mechanisms, DFM, manufacturing methods, GD&T.Strong working knowledge of static and dynamic FEA on any simulation software (Ansys or Abaqus)Good knowledge of vendor ecosystem & offerings, manufacturer ecosystem & capabilities, industry standards etc.Highly proficient with at least one 3D CAD software (preferably Fusion 360)Strong understanding of gear trains – design & manufacturing (preferable)Soft skill RequirementsPassionate about Robotics & DIY projectsEffectively handle multiple workloads and organize workflowsBe resourceful, creative about getting things done with a sense of urgencyWork with multiple teams (SCM, Manufacturing, Vendors) to get designs manufactured to the required quality standards.Be curious of whatever is happening in the company and pitch in wherever you think you can learn or add value.Go-getter attitude.Experience in building / guiding a team.
