General Manager - Finance Control & Accounting Overview :
The GM Accounts & Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing accounting, treasury, compliance, and financial controls across multiple SPVs and group entities. The role requires strong domain expertise in infrastructure accounting, related party compliance, fund management, and consolidation, coupled with sound leadership and team management skills.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Financial Control & Accounting
- Lead end-to-end accounting operations across multiple SPVs and group entities under the IPP platform.
- Oversee maintenance of books of accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Ind AS and applicable accounting standards.
- Manage fixed assets register, gross block capitalization, depreciation accounting, and project cost capitalization.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors to ensure timely closure of audits and compliance with all audit recommendations.
- Review project-level and consolidated financial statements, trial balances, and monthly MIS.
2. Treasury Management & Cash Flow
Oversee day-to-day treasury operations, including fund allocation across SPVs and vendor payment management.Monitor project cash flows, manage working capital, and optimize fund utilization.Liaise with banks, NBFCs, and lenders for project funding, BG issuance, and debt service requirements.Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and ensure liquidity planning for ongoing projects and corporate operations.Manage inter-company funding transactions with strict adherence to compliance and documentation.3. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure compliance with all accounting, taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax), Companies Act, and other statutory regulations.Oversee compliance of Related Party Transactions (RPTs) as per Companies Act, 2013, and ensure proper disclosures in financial statements.Work closely with Company Secretary and Legal teams for board reporting, ROC filings, and adherence to corporate governance standards.Support timely preparation of consolidated financials for management, lenders, and investors.4. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
Lead preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for corporate and SPV-level operations.Track budget variances, analyze deviations, and provide actionable insights for cost optimization.Partner with the business and project teams to evaluate project costs, margins, and return metrics.Support leadership in financial strategy, funding structures, and long-term financial planning.5. Team Leadership & Process Improvement
Lead and mentor a team of finance and accounts professionals across corporate and project locations.Build a strong process-driven culture to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely reporting.Drive digital transformation initiatives for financial reporting, dashboards, and ERP integration.Ensure cross-functional collaboration with projects, procurement, legal, and business teams for seamless execution.Preferred Skills & Competencies :
Strong technical knowledge of Ind AS, accounting principles, and infrastructure project accounting.Working knowledge of project finance, debt covenants, and treasury operations.Excellent understanding of inter-company transactions, related party compliance, and consolidation.Proficient in MS Excel, Tally / ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.Effective communicator with ability to work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.Proven leadership in managing multi-location teams and driving financial discipline.Educational & Experience Requirements :
Qualification : Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional degree in Accounting / Finance.Experience : Minimum 101 to 2 years of experience in finance & accounts, preferably in infrastructure, renewable energy, or EPC sectors.Domain Exposure : Experience in handling multiple SPVs, consolidation, RPT compliance, and treasury operations in a project-based organization.Preferred : Exposure to ERP implementation, automation projects, and lender compliance management.(ref : iimjobs.com)
