The Business Opportunity Coordinator (BOC) provides administrative coordination for all routine external government and industry opportunity engagements across the Nova Systems Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) business. This role supports the Growth ANZ, Major Service Provider (MSP), and Integrated Solutions Business Units (BUs) in identifying, registering, monitoring, and coordinating the company’s external business opportunities.

The BOC role is critical to ensuring routine and strategically important opportunities are identified and passed through to the relevant BU for review and, if required, subsequent action and prosecution to realise revenue generating activities.

This role also ensures that Nova Systems’ Client Relationship Management (CRM) Tool is managed effectively by overseeing internal licencing requirements, auditing CRM data to maximise accuracy and completeness, and identifying and managing opportunities across Nova Systems ANZ through coordination with the relevant BU stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

Opportunity Coordination

  • Register and maintain government and industry panels, standing offers and other opportunity engagement interfaces (e.g. AusTender, DSS Panel, etc.) in collaboration with Nova Systems’ BU leadership and subject matter experts.
  • Identify, review and coordinate across multiple government and industry engagement interfaces to ensure opportunities are managed appropriately across the Nova Systems ANZ business.
  • Monitor and maintain the Nova Systems ANZ ‘Opportunities’ email account.
  • Conduct analysis for opportunities based on CRM data.
  • Contribute to the tender response process by distributing addendums to internal POCs, uploading responses and emailing clients providing or seeking additional information as requested by relevant POCs.

CRM Tools and Coordination

  • Manage and maintain Nova Systems’ CRM tool with respect to licensing requirements, championing a data-driven culture, and rectifying data discrepancies in collaboration with BU POCs and Nova Systems’ Helpdesk.
  • Identify areas for improvement and workshop issues to refine the way Nova Systems ANZ engages with its CRM tool and manages business opportunities.
  • Provide support to any update and / or redevelopment of Nova Systems’ CRM tools.
  • Business Improvement and Enabling Activities

  • Support the Growth ANZ team in improving business processes and procedures, including activities that support the MSP and Integrated Solutions BUs.
  • Monitor and maintain the corporate email accounts linked to the Growth ANZ BU.
  • Support the management of Nova Systems’ intranet sites linked to the Growth ANZ BU, ensuring the sites are functional and up to date.
  • Support business improvement activities related to opportunity management and CRM implementation.
  • Support Nova Systems’ enabling functions as required (e.g. Corporate Affairs, Strategy, and Finance).
  • Contribute to succession planning and delivery of internal training for the BOC role to enable you to take leave and undertake professional development activities.

  • Essential requirements :

  • Ability to identify, review, plan, and coordinate across multiple business opportunity interfaces to ensure opportunities are managed across the Nova Systems ANZ.
  • Ability to conduct market scanning and analysis of opportunities to develop synthesized and concise information that can be actioned.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with an ability to engage collaboratively and respectfully with internal stakeholders of all levels.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and workshop issues.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and apply new software tools and technologies.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
