Cloud Infrastructure Specialist
About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cloud infrastructure specialist to join our Platform Engineering Observability team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining our AWS cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of backup, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Develop and monitor automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources.
- Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, security, and reliability of systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior cloud engineers and other team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud solutions.AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Tools and Technologies :
Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies.Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Data Dog, Orion, Nagios, and WhatsUp Gold.Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (e.g., ECS, EKS).What We Offer :
