Data Science Manager responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design.
You will have the onus of working with large, complex data sets, solve difficult & non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed; conduct end-to-end analysis that includes research, hypothesis testing, and thought leadership.
They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify :
- Act as a subject matter expert in the designing and recommending of appropriate analytical approaches and methodology in addressing key issues within the business.
- Define project goals and objectives and develop detailed work plans to meet client expectations.
- Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation through closeout.
- Explore business problems and model different solutions.
- Design client-specific strategic service offerings and approaches that will demonstrate value through the development.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Design data modeling processes to create algorithms and predictive models and perform custom analysis.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions.
- Manage multiple resources and projects concurrently to ensure successful completion of analytic projects.
- Work with the team to establish future-facing insights, implications, and recommendations; deliver advice; and identify and solve problems.
- Develop strategic plans to help the company reach its growth goals.
- Lead a team of data scientists, analysts, engineers, and other data professionals to deliver high-quality data products and insights.
- Establish and execute the data science strategy and vision for the organization, aligning with the business goals and & Skillset :
- A masters or doctoral degree in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related computation field from an accredited university or college.
- Several years of experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role, preferably in a leadership capacity.
- 10+ years in the field of applying methods in statistical learning in developing data driven solutions.
- 10+ proven years of experience in leading and managing large, complex consulting engagements & Proven ability to develop and execute business strategy.
- Minimum 5+ years experience of leading and managing a team.
- Proficiency in various data science tools and languages, such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, Spark, TensorFlow, etc. along with working experience in Unix / Linux environment.
- Good working experience in GenAI.
- Experience in applying advanced AI techniques (e.g., machine learning, predictive analytics, optimization, semantic analysis, time-series analysis, advanced visualization) to real-world problems.
