Role Overview
The Senior Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) recovery, repair, and refurbishment operations. The role involves building scalable processes to maximize recovery, ensure cost-effective repair / refurbishment, and re-deploy CPEs back into circulation, thereby reducing capex and improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- CPE Recovery :
- Drive overall recovery strategy and execution across circles / regions.
- Ensure timely retrieval of CPEs from customers, partners, and field operations.
- Monitor recovery KPIs, leakages, and risk cases, and implement corrective actions.
- Repair & Refurbishment :
- Set up and manage repair / refurb facilities for CPEs (modems, routers, set-top boxes, ONTs, etc.).
- Define quality benchmarks for repair / refurbished units to ensure readiness for redeployment.
- Collaborate with OEMs and authorized service centers for high-value repairs.
- Track yield between recovered, repairable, and scrap units to minimize wastage.
- Ensure EHS (environment, health, and safety) and e-waste compliance in scrapping / recycling.
- Operational Excellence :
- Coordinate with warehouses, logistics, collections, and sales teams for smooth asset flow.
- Implement automation and digital tracking for recovery-to-repair-to-redeployment lifecycle.
- Optimize costs through vendor negotiations, repair efficiency, and recovery process improvement.
- Team & Vendor Management :
- Lead a team of Assistant Managers, Executives, and external vendors / agencies.
- Define SLAs, monitor vendor performance, and conduct regular audits of recovery / repair partners.
- Mentor and develop internal teams to strengthen recovery and repair capabilities.
- Reporting & Compliance :
- Publish MIS / dashboards on recovery and repair performance, asset turnaround, and financial savings.
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance, audit, and company policies across all operations.
Key Skills & Competencies
Expertise in CPE recovery operations, repair / refurb processes, and asset lifecycle management.Strong vendor / partner management and negotiation skills.Knowledge of telecom hardware (ONTs, modems, routers, STBs, etc.) and repair ecosystem.Data-driven approach with advanced Excel / BI / reporting skills.Strong leadership, escalation management, and cross-functional collaboration ability.Understanding of e-waste norms and regulatory compliance.Qualifications & Experience
Graduate / Postgraduate in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or Electronics / Telecom. BE , BTECH will be preferred10–15 years of overall experience, with 4–6 years in leadership roles in recovery / repair / asset management.Experience in managing repair / refurb facilities and large-scale vendor operations is preferred.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
