ServiceNow Test Manager – Roles & Responsibilities
Experience & Leadership
Possess
5–7 years of experience
in software testing, with a strong focus on the ServiceNow platform.
Proven track record of
leading teams of 4–6 testers , managing performance, mentoring, and ensuring high-quality output.
Ability to work independently while also guiding and supporting the team.
ServiceNow Platform Expertise
Deep understanding of
ServiceNow modules
such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom applications.
Hands-on experience in
test planning, execution, automation, and defect management
within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Customer Engagement & Communication
Act as a
customer-facing lead , managing all communications related to testing activities, timelines, risks, and issue resolution.
Prepare and present
test strategies, status reports, defect summaries , and other documentation to stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring alignment with business goals and expectations.
Individual Contribution
Be a
hands-on test manager , capable of writing and executing test cases, performing defect triage, and contributing to automation efforts.
Take ownership of critical testing tasks and support the team during high-pressure phases.
Project Delivery & Quality Assurance
Oversee
end-to-end testing lifecycle
for ServiceNow implementations and upgrades.
Ensure
project deliverables
meet quality standards, timelines, and client requirements.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align testing with overall project objectives.
Process Improvement & Governance
Define and implement
testing processes, standards, and best practices
tailored to ServiceNow projects.
Drive
continuous improvement
in testing methodologies, tools, and team capabilities.
Ensure compliance with organizational and client-specific quality frameworks.
