Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Communications :
Develop and implement external communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
Identify compelling storytelling opportunities and
translate them into engaging content for diverse audiences, including policymakers, donors, and the public.
Project Communication :
Curate technical outputs and develop project communication deliverables including newsletters, annual reports, policy briefs, social media posts, proposals and presentations.
Translate technical research and policy content into accessible, engaging formats for different audiences.
Capture and document best practices, success stories, and case studies to showcase program impact and inform future strategies.
Video & Multimedia Production :
Support the development of campaign videos including conceptualization, incorporating technical content and scripting.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure high-quality multimedia content that resonates with target audiences.
Social media & Storytelling :
Manage
the organization’s social media presence across platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube)
to build brand identity and engage audiences.
Develop content calendars, campaign ideas, and creative strategies that resonate across platforms.
Webinars & Roundtables :
Plan, organize, and promote webinars , consultations, and roundtable discussions.
Lead end-to-end execution including content planning, speaker coordination, outreach, audience engagement, and post-event follow-up.
Vendor & Project Coordination :
Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and creative partners to deliver communication projects on time and within scope.
Oversee timelines, deliverables, and quality assurance across projects, including vendor contracts and compliance.
Website Management :
Oversee website content and updates, ensuring alignment with brand tone and strategic messaging.
Work with designers and developers to introduce new features and ensure a user-friendly experience.
Monitoring & Reporting :
Track and analyze the success of communication efforts using relevant metrics.
Adjust strategies based on performance data.
Essential Qualifications and Skills :
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Communications,
Journalism,
Nutrition Science, or related field
Minimum 4-5 years of
relevant
experience in a communications or media-related role , ideally in the public health, development, or nonprofit sectors
Strong writing and editing skills, with demonstrated ability to develop content for diverse formats and audiences
Proven experience managing content through CMS platforms
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and manage multimedia content (experience with video scripting, coordination, or production is a plus)
Strong project management and coordination skills, including working with cross-functional teams
Willingness to travel to field locations (as needed) for content development or documentation
Familiarity with nutrition, health systems, or development communication is an added advantage.
