Overview
We are seeking a seasoned professional to occupy a senior role in our Global Medical Affairs department. The ideal candidate will support the development and execution of the department's annual product medical strategy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supports the development and execution of the medical strategy for assigned products, providing overall scientific and medical oversight within assigned therapeutic areas.
- Assists senior leadership with assessments and intelligence on potential new products, joint ventures, corporate partnerships, and due diligence activities.
- Works with the commercial team to build awareness of our products in the medical community and better understand unmet medical needs by participating in medical symposia, publication, media events, and other activities.
- Provides clinical support for field sales efforts and medical science liaisons to improve patient care.
- Responsible for supporting the review and approval of product promotional material and regulatory documents in compliance with corporate standards and government regulations.
- Provides medical support to product planning and line extensions, new indications, formula changes, opinion leader development, and publication strategies for therapeutic area products.
- Identifies, develops, and maintains close professional relationships with influential members, opinion leaders, physicians, and researchers within the pertinent medical community.
- Remains informed of current developments within pertinent medical and scientific communities through familiarity with current literature, attendance at meetings, conventions, professional associations, etc.
Requirements :
Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, Health Authorities, regulatory reporting requirements.Ability to research and critically analyze product information, clinical data, and the medical literature.Preferred Qualifications :
Medical degree (MD) in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine and 4+ years pharmaceutical industry experience.Customer expertise, especially scientific leadership and other key stakeholders, public groups, government officials, medical professional organizations.Keyword : Gastroenterology
