Role : Oracle Fusion BI Report Specialist

Summary Overview :
The role involves reviewing business requirements, designing, and delivering Fusion BI reports that are meaningful to the users and reflect data accurately. The ideal candidate is extremely well versed in Oracle Fusion Cloud, in particular the Oracle Fusion Financials, Procurement, and Project modules with the ability to create and update Fusion BI reports using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and / or Oracle BI Publisher.
Responsibilities :
- Leverage knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials, Procurement, and Project modules develop ad-hoc reports and analyses based on real-time transactional data from Oracle Fusion
- Customize out-of-the-box reports or build custom reports tailored to specific business needs ensuring data accuracy and adherence to business standards.
- Design and maintain the data models that underpin reports, often using SQL queries, data sets, and other data sources.
- Incorporate dynamic parameters (e.g., date ranges, customer IDs) to generate dynamic content based on user input.
- Create and apply custom formulas, calculated fields, and aggregations to enhance report functionality.
- Implement conditional formatting in reports to highlight key metrics or outliers for easy interpretation.
- Design reports that can be output in multiple formats such as PDF, Excel, HTML, and RTF based on user needs.
- Work with various data sources, including Oracle databases, XML data, web services, and more, to feed into reports.
- Develop complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for reporting purposes.
- Optimize SQL queries and data models to improve report performance, particularly for large data sets.
- Maintain version control between environments for all report templates and data models to ensure traceability and recovery in case of errors.
- Work closely with business users, analysts, and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and ensure that deliverables meet user needs.
- Perform unit testing on reports and work with QA teams for report validation and end-to-end testing before deployment.
- Document all report specifications, including data sources, report logic, templates, and deployment procedures.
- Monitor report execution performance and identify bottlenecks, implementing improvements to ensure reports run efficiently.
- Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot any issues related to report generation, data accuracy, or formatting.
- Debug and resolve issues in reports, templates, or data models in collaboration with the technical teams and database administrators.
- Prioritize workload based on business requirement and impact, as well as communicate status to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with Functional resources, participate in team / user discussion meetings to develop plans and resolutions.
- Represents technical team as key participant to perform live logging and provide technical expertise during internal and external meetings.
- Create productive relationships by working closely with stakeholders, technical staff, liaise with vendors, colleagues, and contacts from other teams to ensure timely and efficient solutions.
Qualifications :
Possess solid understanding of Oracle Fusion particularly the Financials module, Procurement module and Project module.5+ years of writing SQL to extract data from Oracle Fusion and other source.5+ years 5+ years building reports in BI tools such as BI Publisher, OTBI, OBIEE, or OBIA.Possess applicable certifications.B.S Computer Science or equivalent.Mandatory Technical Skills :
