We are seeking a Firmware Verification and Validation Engineer to strengthen our test automation framework for a Linux-based IoT core platform. The role includes designing and executing SIL and HIL test strategies, integrating automated tests with pytest, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS, and supporting continuous delivery of reliable embedded software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute SIL and HIL test plans for firmware and system software
- Create feature, integration, sanity, and system-level test plans
- Integrate automated tests into Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines
- Conduct final validation in production-like environments
- Monitor post-release performance, capture issues, and drive post-release verification
- Manage cloud and on-prem test infrastructure using AWS services
- Produce detailed reports (Allure, pytest-html, JUnit) and link them to dashboards
- Configure alerts via Slack, email, and build-status tools
- Work with developers to define coverage, improve stability, and minimize regressions

Strong Linux and shell scripting skillsExperience with iMX8, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, PIC24Python and pytest for software and hardware-integrated testingProficiency with JSON, Protobufs, Rest APIs, and HTTPExperience with YAML syntaxCI / CD experience with automated test integrationHands on experience with QT, QML and Squish Test Automation ToolProficiency in pytest, Google Test, or similar frameworksSIL and HIL test environment experienceKnowledge of communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, WiFi, BLE)Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitFamiliarity with AWS build and test infrastructureStrong debugging and problem-solving skillsExperience with JTAG, SWD, logic analyzers, oscilloscopesKnowledge of Docker or container-based test setupsFamiliarity with Agile processes and tools like Git and JIRAAbility to collaborate across global teams
