Job description

Role Overview :

We are looking for a seasoned HR Operations Lead to oversee and manage core HR processes for our Chennai office. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in payroll management, labor law compliance, employee life cycle operations, HRMS administration, and HR analytics. This role demands a detail-oriented professional with strong process ownership and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Payroll & Compliance :
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulatory requirements including PF, ESI, gratuity, and other statutory filings.
  • Employee Life Cycle Management :
  • Oversee onboarding, confirmation, transfers, exits, and other employee lifecycle processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in line with compliance standards.
  • HRMS Administration :
  • Administer and maintain HRMS systems, ensuring data integrity and process automation.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors for system enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Reporting & Analytics :
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports for leadership review.
  • Provide insights on workforce trends, attrition, and compliance metrics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement :
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders on HR operations matters.
  • Support audits and internal reviews related to HR processes.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • 10+ years of experience in HR operations, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and payroll practices.
  • Experience with HRMS platforms and data reporting tools.
  • Exposure to engineering or oil & gas services industry preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
