Job description

Position Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with expertise in financial systems and applications. The role involves leading automation initiatives, validating critical financial transactions, and ensuring system performance, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for financial applications, including trading platforms, payment gateways, and risk management systems.
  • Develop automated test scripts for APIs and backend services using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Conduct non-functional testing, including performance, load, stress, security, and reliability testing.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and compliance teams to define test strategies aligned with industry regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Validate financial transactions, ensure data integrity, and verify accuracy of system reports.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI in collaboration with DevOps teams.
  • Perform root cause analysis for defects and ensure timely resolution.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and establish best practices for quality assurance and automation.
  • Maintain clear documentation for test cases, results, and compliance audits.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in QA automation, including at least 2 years in the financial domain.
  • Experience in financial systems testing, including transaction validation and reconciliation.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance testing and audit processes.
  • Proficiency with automation tools and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in data security, encryption, and penetration testing.
  • Proficiency in performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of financial protocols (ISO 8583) and data formats (XML, JSON).
