Staff Nurse – Frailty Unit BGH

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Borders General Hospital for a flexible, enthusiastic individual to join the new Frailty Unit.

As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will carry out personal care duties and Venepuncture / Cannulation and ECG recording for patients and other related services and duties in support of and supervised by registered nurses and other relevant professional practitioners, where appropriate, to facilitate the smooth running of the unit.

In partnership with the registered nurse, the post-holder supports the implementation and review of the patient's individual care plan to ensure delivery of a high standard of nursing care.

SVQ3 or equivalent experience with previous experience in a nursing or frailty setting is essential.
