The Tech Support Engineer will provide comprehensive technical support to internal teams, ensuring seamless operations of critical infrastructure, servers, networks, and endpoints. This role requires strong fintech domain knowledge combined with hands-on expertise in infrastructure troubleshooting and resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Server Management
- Monitor and maintain server health, uptime, and performance across on-premises and cloud environments
- Diagnose and resolve server-related issues including hardware failures, disk space management, and service outages
- Perform routine server maintenance, updates, patches, and security configurations
- Manage backups, disaster recovery procedures, and ensure business continuity
Network & Connectivity Support
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues affecting user productivityConfigure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and identify bottlenecksSupport VPN, remote access, and secure connectivity for distributed teamsEndpoint & End-User Support
Provide L1 / L2 technical support for laptop, desktop, and mobile device issuesResolve hardware failures, software conflicts, and performance optimizationInstall, configure, and manage operating systems and applicationsMaintain IT asset inventory and hardware lifecycle managementFintech-Specific Support
Understand fintech application requirements and infrastructure dependenciesSupport compliance and security-related infrastructure configurationsMaintain awareness of fintech regulatory requirements and data protection standardsTroubleshoot issues specific to payment systems, lending platforms, and financial applicationsDocumentation & Process Improvement
Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guidesDocument recurring issues and implement preventive solutionsContribute to continuous improvement of IT support processesSupport knowledge transfer and team training initiativesSecurity & Compliance
Adhere to IT security policies, data protection regulations, and audit requirementsSupport security patches and vulnerability managementMaintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and customer dataAssist with compliance audits and regulatory assessmentsRequired Qualifications
Experience & Technical Skills
4–5 years of hands-on experience in IT technical support or infrastructure managementStrong expertise in server administration and troubleshooting (Windows / Linux)Advanced proficiency in network troubleshooting (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)Experience with endpoint management (laptops, desktops, mobile devices)Fintech or BFSI domain knowledge – Understanding of financial systems, payment platforms, or lending applicationsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirableKnowledge of backup and disaster recovery proceduresFamiliarity with ticketing systems (Jira) and IT service managementSoft Skills
