Azure API Developer - Configuration Management

We are looking for a highly skilled Azure API Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, configuring, and managing APIs within Azure API Management (APIM) Gateway.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in API development, deployment, and troubleshooting, along with excellent communication skills to work closely with customers and stakeholders.

This role requires a proactive, go-getter mindset, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable APIs aligned with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities :

API Development & Deployment :

• Design, create, and deploy APIs using Azure API Management Gateway (APIM).
• Write and optimize Azure Function Apps to support API logic.
• Integrate APIs with backend services, databases, and cloud applications.
• Ensure API lifecycle management (design, versioning, testing, publishing, and & Management :
• Perform advanced API Gateway configurations including policies, security, routing, transformations, and caching.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, including Ryan Specialty API governance policies.
• Monitor and manage API performance, availability, and & Support :
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to APIs, integrations, and inter-service communication.
• Provide root cause analysis and recommend improvements for stability and performance.
• Work with QA and DevOps teams to ensure reliable CI / CD API & Customer Engagement :
• Engage with customers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, best practices, and mentorship to peers.
• Ensure effective communication across business and technical teams.
