• Employment Type : Part time – 10.5 hours per week (0.3 FTE)
• Duration : 2-year Fixed Term Contract
• Remuneration : Level B from $127,947 + 17% superannuation and annual leave loading (pro rata)
• Location : Kensington Campus, Sydney, New South Wales

The School of Clinical Medicine encompasses all our clinical campuses and disciplines as well as a number of other affiliated clinical sites. Our goals within this school are to provide the best educational practices across all our clinical campuses, make sure that all our researchers are well supported and that our staff and students flourish. This school may be widely disbursed physically but this gives us a fantastic scale and diversity that only enriches our clinical school.

The Medicine Program is the most popular first-preference choice for school leavers in NSW. Our students are highly motivated and enthusiastic learners. Our curriculum is based around a set of graduate capabilities that guide learning and assessment across all six years of the program.

Why this role matters

As a Lecturer (EF), you will deliver engaging undergraduate and / or postgraduate classes, assess student learning, and provide tailored academic support. You will design innovative learning activities and resources, contribute to the development of experimental teaching approaches, and foster individual and cohort progression to enhance student outcomes. Your role includes managing course administration and quality assurance, maintaining professional development in pedagogy and discipline knowledge, and articulating a clear teaching philosophy that inspires learning.

UNSW's Education Focussed roles (EF) enable academics to specialise in education and devote their time to delivering high-quality teaching and pursuing initiatives to enhance the educational experience of our students. Those who are appointed to this prestigious specialism will be expected to successfully drive educational excellence within the university's teaching and learning communities.

The Lecturer role reports to the Program Director, BMed / MD, with a dotted reporting line to the Phase 1 Convenors, and does not have direct reports.
