Job Title : Director of Data Migration and Automation

Job Description : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the

Director of Data Migration and Automation. In this role, you will lead the migration of data from various

Intellectual Property (IP) solutions in the market to our company's software platform as part of the

implementation team. Leveraging your expertise in the IP domain, you will oversee a team of Data

Migration specialists, guiding them in analyzing, mapping, and transforming data to ensure accuracy and

integrity throughout the migration process. Additionally, you will be responsible for spearheading the

development of automation systems, streamlining data migration tasks, and enhancing overall

Roles and Responsibilities :

 Team Leadership and Management :

o Lead a team of Data Migration specialists, ensuring they have the necessary skills, resources,

and support to execute data migration projects effectively.

o Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and

client-focused work environment.

 Data Mapping and Transformation :

o Develop comprehensive data mapping and transformation plans to align data from other IP

solutions in the market with the data model of the company's software solution.

o Ensure that IP-related data elements are accurately mapped and transformed to maintain

data integrity and consistency during migration.

 Competitor Data Analysis :

o Lead the analysis of data structures, formats, and schemas from other Intellectual Property

(IP) solutions in the market.

o Understand the unique data models and features of these systems to devise effective

migration strategies.

 Automation System Development :

o Design, architect, and build an automation system for mapping, transforming, and migrating

data from legacy systems to the company's software solution.

o Develop automation processes, workflows, and scripts to automate repetitive tasks and

streamline the data migration process.

 IP Domain Expertise is a Plus :

o Utilize expertise in the Intellectual Property domain to understand the nuances of IP data,

including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and related legal entities.

o Collaborate with legal and subject matter experts to ensure accurate interpretation and

migration of IP-related data across systems.

 Technical Integration and Customization :

o Work closely with technical teams to integrate the automation system into the data

migration workflow, ensuring seamless execution and integration with existing systems.

o Customize and optimize automation processes to accommodate the unique data structures

and requirements of IP-related data and legacy systems.

 Quality Assurance and Testing :

o Establish specialized quality assurance processes and test cases tailored to IP data

migration, including validation of patent, trademark, and copyright information.

o Conduct rigorous testing and validation of the automation system to ensure accuracy,

completeness, and reliability of data migration activities.

 Stakeholder Engagement :

o Engage directly with clients to understand their specific data migration requirements,

preferences, and challenges.

o Provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients regarding the migration of IP-

related data, addressing concerns and ensuring alignment with client objectives.

 Continuous Learning and Innovation :

o Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data

migration and automation in the Intellectual Property domain.

o Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the automation system and

methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of data migration initiatives.

 Cross-Functional Collaboration :

o Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data migration initiatives

meet business goals and client expectations.

o Provide input and feedback on product enhancements and features based on insights

gained from other IP solution data migration experiences.

 Documentation and Knowledge Sharing :

o Document migration processes, workflows, and automation procedures specific to

Intellectual Property data, creating a knowledge base for future reference and training.

o Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and workshops to disseminate best practices, lessons

learned, and domain-specific expertise to internal teams and clients.

Experience :

o Candidate should have extensive experience in leading data migration projects in the

context of software implementation (10+ years).

o Should have a deep understanding of data migration methodologies, tools, and best

practices.

o A minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles.

o Should be familiar with automation tools and technologies, as well as database

management systems and data integration platforms.

o Experience in the Intellectual Property (IP) domain or related industries is highly desirable.
