Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled hands-on Microsoft Purview Data Governance Developer to do the hands-on implementation, configuration, and enhancement of Microsoft Purview solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in at least one end-to-end Purview deployment and a strong technical background in metadata management, data classification, and integration with Azure services.

This is a hands-on developer role.

Key Responsibilities :

• Implementation of enterprise-scale data governance solutions using Microsoft Purview.
• Support proof-of-concept and production deployments of Microsoft Purview.
• Create and manage business glossaries, metadata scanning, and lineage tracking.
• Associate business and technical metadata to enhance data discoverability and traceability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Purview services.
• Customization in purview to enforce metadata, data quality, and data lineage policies.
• Establish and manage resource connections and scanning configurations across hybrid environments.
• Customize classification rules and policies to meet business needs.
• Integrate Purview with external systems and Azure services (e.g., Power BI) using APIs.
• Collaborate with data stewards, engineers, and business stakeholders to support governance initiatives.
• Develop dashboards and reports to track data governance metrics.
• Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to ensure adoption across Qualifications :
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or related domains.
• 12 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including at least one full-scale implementation.
• Strong experience with Purview APIs, classification configuration, and resource scanning.
• Proven ability to manage glossaries, scan metadata, and associate business / technical metadata.
• Experience in the investment banking industry is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with cloud data security and compliance (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and AI / ML data solutions is advantageous.
• Microsoft certifications in Azure Data or Security are a Qualifications :
• Bachelors or masters degree.
• Experience working in offshore delivery models and collaborating with global teams.
