Role Details

St Thomas More School is currently seeking a Qualified OSHC Education Support Officer to become a valued member of our vibrant OSHC leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Director to provide consistent leadership, guidance, and supervision to our growing team of educators. We are looking for someone who brings not only experience and enthusiasm, but also a strong sense of stability and long-term commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. Role Details

The OSHC and Vacation-Care Team Leader will work closely with the OSHC Director to provide a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children in Before and After School Care, along with Vacation Care.

You will work with the OSHC Leadership Team to plan and support the program based upon recognised School Age Care Framework (OSHC / Vacation Care).

This is a Permanent / part-time position working 20 hours per week

Monday BSC 6 : 45am - 9 : 00am ASC 2 : 30 – 6 : 00pm

Tuesday ASC 2 : 45pm – 5 : 00pm

Wednesday Admin 10.00am – 6.00pm

Thursday BSC 6 : 45am - 9 : 00am

Friday ASC 2 : 45pm – 5 : 00pm

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have experience and passion for working with young people in growth-focused, positive and professional ways :

  • Demonstrated ability working and communicating effectively with children. Experience working with children with additional needs
  • Ability to implement positive and supportive behaviour management practices and be a good role model for students
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop a strong positive rapport with students, staff, and parents / caregivers and foster effective professional relationships.
  • High level organisational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to uphold the culture and ethos of Catholic schools
  • An active commitment to ongoing professional learning and development

You will have :

  • Approved ACECQA Diploma level qualification. (List of approved qualifications at :
  • Approved Responding to Risks of Harm Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certificate.

  • Current Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012) certificate
  • Current acceptable Department of Human Services (DHS) Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Food Safety training
  • Additional Information
