Role Description
As the Lead Business Analyst in our Technology department, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of complex business initiatives. You will be responsible for leading requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design, ensuring that business objectives are translated into actionable technology solutions. Your expertise in business analysis, stakeholder management, and Jira project lifecycle management will be essential in delivering high-impact results.
- Business Analysis Leadership :
- Lead and manage all business analysis activities across multiple, concurrent technology projects.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions to elicit and clarify business needs.
- Translate high-level business objectives into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases with precision and clarity.
- Jira Management & Usage :
- Create, maintain, and oversee Jira projects, boards, epics, stories, and tasks for effective project tracking.
- Ensure backlog grooming, sprint planning, and workflow management align with Agile best practices.
- Generate and analyze Jira reports to monitor progress, identify dependencies, and mitigate risks.
- Stakeholder Engagement :
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, prioritize requirements, and ensure alignment with strategic business goals.
- Process Improvement :
- Identify and analyze process inefficiencies, proposing technology-enabled solutions for optimization.
- Champion the adoption of Agile methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Work Experience :
Minimum 8 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role within the technology domain.Proven track record of managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects and delivering successful outcomes. Hands-on expertise in using Jira for end-to-end project lifecycle management.Educational Qualification :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.Advanced certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent are highly desirable.Skills / Behaviour Attributes :
Expertise in Agile / Scrum and SDLC methodologies.Strong understanding of API integrations, data flows, and system dependencies.Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities.Proficiency in business process modeling (BPMN, UML) and documentation.Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) is a plus.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.High attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
