Senior Migration Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Migration Engineer to lead and execute large-scale cloud and infrastructure migration projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud environments, with proven experience in application, database, and workload migrations. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end migration strategies, ensuring security, scalability, and minimal downtime during Responsibilities :

• Lead the design and implementation of migration strategies from on-premises to Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud.
• Perform lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting of applications and infrastructure.
• Conduct assessment and discovery of existing environments, identifying dependencies and risks.
• Oversee database, application, and storage migrations with minimal downtime.
• Implement best practices for security, compliance, and cost optimization during migration.
• Collaborate with application, networking, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Troubleshoot migration issues, ensure performance tuning, and provide post-migration support.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvements.
• Document migration frameworks, procedures, and lessons learned for future Skills & Qualifications :
• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure / cloud engineering and migration projects.
• Strong expertise in Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, CloudEndure, DMS, SMS, and other migration tools.
• Hands-on experience in Windows / Linux server migrations, database migrations (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
• Proficiency in cloud networking, IAM, firewalls, and VPN configuration.
• Strong scripting / automation skills in PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates.
• Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and cost optimization tools.
• Certifications preferred : AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, Azure Administrator.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
