ABOUT THE ROLE
The Manager – HR Operations and Payroll will play a mission-critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of all HR operational processes, compliance adherence, payroll execution, automation support, and overall governance of HR systems and documentation. This role demands strong attention to detail, process orientation, and an in-depth understanding of statutory regulations and payroll systems. The ideal candidate will act as the backbone of HR compliance and operations while proactively identifying process improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Payroll & Compliance
Manage monthly payroll execution, reconciliations, and documentation as per defined timelinesEnsure 100% compliance with statutory obligations like PF, ESI, TDS, PT, LWF, and other labor lawsFile quarterly and annual Income Tax returns accurately and within due datesMaintain half-yearly Professional Tax workingsOwn the compliance tracker and ensure updates are submitted by the 20th of each monthHR Operations & Reporting
Strong Experience in Salary BenchmarkingDrive HR automation initiatives on FHR in alignment with internal stakeholdersMaintain accurate SAP entries for all HR transactions and employee changesEnsure timely addition and deletion of employees in Mediclaim and process reimbursement claims within SLASubmit dashboards for Headcount, Attrition, Confirmations, and Mediclaim as per defined scheduleMonitor vendor agreements and renewal statuses; ensure updates by the 15th of every monthMaintain accurate employee documentation and file recordsFHR Helpdesk & Employee Experience
Manage FHR Helpdesk tickets and ensure SLA adherenceEnsure smooth execution of Full & Final settlements in coordination with payroll and legalConduct VOC (Voice of Customer) analysis to evaluate service effectivenessSupport smooth onboarding experience with proper documentation and SAP ID generationAudit, Budgeting & Strategic Reports
Prepare and review the HR Budget on a monthly basis; ensure alignment with business needsSupport creation of monthly Management and Compliance PPTsParticipate in global reporting for CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and ensure quarterly submissionsFacilitate compliance with internal and global audit requirementsReviews & Governance
Participate in operational reviews every 1st and 3rd FridayProvide data support and governance for internal Reward & Recognition and confirmation dashboardsEnsure timely submission of Management reports before the 4th of every monthBEHAVIOURS & APPROACH

10–12 years of experience in HR Operations and Payroll in mid-to-large organizationsStrong understanding of compliance, income tax, labor laws, and SAP HR modulesProven experience managing dashboards, MIS, audits, and budgetingExperience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across functionsEDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related disciplineMaster’s degree in Human Resources or Finance preferredStrong command over Excel, HR systems, data reporting, and presentation toolsWHAT WE OFFER
