We are expanding our Mumbai team and are seeking an experienced Consulting Manager (Petrochemicals) to lead and execute consulting engagements across downstream oil, petrochemicals, and broader commodity markets.
What You Will Be Doing :
Project Leadership & Delivery :
- Lead and deliver end-to-end consulting projects across petrochemicals and downstream oil markets, managing teams of consultants and analysts.
- Conduct market analysis, supplydemand studies, price outlooks, and competitive benchmarking across key petrochemical value chains.
- Oversee development of technical modeling frameworks, forecast tools, and data-driven analytical solutions.
Client Engagement :
Own client communicationfrom project kickoff to final presentationsensuring clarity, quality, and high client satisfaction.Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.Collaborate with Argus sales teams to identify client needs, craft proposals, and successfully win consulting mandates.Business Development & Thought Leadership :
Develop proposals, marketing materials, and project methodologies for new consulting opportunities.Leverage Argus proprietary datasets to generate actionable insights and strengthen our consulting offerings.Team Development :
Mentor and develop consultants, elevating their analytical, market research, and project management capabilities.Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment focused on continuous learning.Skills & Experience 5 - 10 years of consulting experience in the petrochemicals, downstream oil, or broader energy commodities sector.
Strong experience in market analysis, feasibility studies, strategy development, or techno-economic assessments within the petrochemicals industry.Demonstrated success in managing multi-stakeholder consulting engagements and delivering complex analytical projects.Engineering (Chemical / Petrochemical) or Economics background preferred; advanced degrees (MBA / MS) are an added advantage.Technical & Functional Skills :
Deep understanding of petrochemical value chains (ethylene, propylene, aromatics, polymers, intermediates, etc.).Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data modeling techniques.Ability to design structured methodologies and conduct comprehensive market research.Excellent presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to senior client leadership.Leadership Attributes :
