Job Description
The female helper is responsible for providing general assistance to support daily operations in various areas within an organization. This role typically involves performing a wide range of tasks, including maintaining cleanliness, assisting staff with office-related needs, and supporting administrative or operational teams to ensure a smooth, efficient, and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Assisting with Office or Workspace Maintenance :
o Clean and maintain office areas, restrooms, and common spaces, ensuring a neat and hygienic work environment.
o Organize and tidy up workstations, meeting rooms, and other areas as necessary.
o Ensure that all supplies, such as cleaning materials and office necessities, are well-stocked.
2. Serving and Handling Refreshments :
o Prepare and serve tea, coffee, snacks, and beverages to employees, visitors, or guests as required.
o Maintain and clean the kitchen or pantry area, ensuring all items are properly stored and organized.
3. Supporting Administrative Tasks :
o Assist with basic administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and organizing documents.
o Deliver documents and messages to other staff members or departments as needed.
o Help with managing office supplies, including checking inventory levels and reporting shortages to the relevant person in charge.
4. Assisting with Deliveries and Errands :
o Assist in running errands, such as picking up or delivering packages, documents, or supplies within the office premises or outside as required.
o Help in distributing or managing internal mail and other documents.
5. Helping in Event Setup :
o Assist in organizing and setting up office events, meetings, or conferences by preparing the meeting rooms, arranging seating, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
o Help with cleaning up after meetings, events, or conferences.
6. Supporting the Team :
o Offer support to various departments, including helping employees with office-related needs.
o Provide assistance to staff members in a variety of ways, such as carrying items, setting up equipment, or managing office tools.
7. Safety and Health Compliance :
o Ensure the office or workspace complies with basic safety and health guidelines.
o Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to the supervisor to maintain a safe work environment.
8. Other Duties as Assigned :
o Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors or department heads as needed, including assisting in any general office operations.
o Assist with minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or handling other small repairs.
Requirements
Key Skills and Qualifications :
- Educational Requirements :
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience :
- Previous experience in an office assistant or general helper role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks and take direction as needed.
- Skills :
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and visitors.
- Ability to handle basic administrative tasks such as filing, document preparation, and assisting with office setup.
- Friendly, approachable, and willing to assist team members with different tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
