Job descriptionBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture. Minimum 7–10 years of architectural experience, including at least 2–3 years working on North American / Canadian projects. Strong understanding of NBC 2020 (Alberta edition) and common city zoning bylaws (preferably Calgary, Edmonton, etc.). Proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit , and familiarity with preparing permit-ready packages. Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to work in North American time zones (partially). Experience working with remote teams and clients is preferred. Prior experience in handling commercial TI / change-of-use projects is an asset. Competitive India-based salary with performance bonuses. Work-from-home flexibility with regular team calls and reviews. Exposure to Canadian projects and permit workflows. We offer comprehensive services from concept design to permit approvals, with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability. We are expanding our India team to support our growing project pipeline in Alberta and other provinces.
Role Overview :
We are looking for a Senior Architect based in India to work exclusively on Canadian projects , including custom homes, commercial renovations, tenant improvements, and change-of-use applications. The candidate will lead design efforts, ensure compliance with Canadian codes, and manage coordination between teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee the production of architectural drawing sets for Canadian residential and commercial projects.
- Ensure compliance with National Building Code of Canada (NBC 2020) and local municipal bylaws (e.g., City of Calgary).
- Review and finalize design packages before submission for permits.
- Coordinate with Canadian engineers (structural, mechanical, electrical) for integrated design packages.
- Provide mentorship and direction to junior architects or drafters on Canadian standards.
- Participate in weekly review meetings with the Canadian team for project alignment and feedback.
- Assist in improving drawing templates, standard details, and internal workflows.
