Finance BA

Overview

We are searching for a Finance Business Analyst to support the Accounts and Finance team. This is not your typical finance or BA role — you’ll combine high-level financial expertise with digital tools, process improvement, and team collaboration to make a tangible impact.

About the Role

As the Finance BA, you’ll take ownership of financial data management, system reporting, and performance dashboards, ensuring decision-makers have access to accurate and timely insights. You’ll also lead process improvement initiatives across finance functions, driving the adoption of digital tools like Power BI, Excel Power Tools, and other analytics platforms.

This is a hands-on role with significant visibility across the business — ideal for someone who thrives on both analysis and action.

What you’ll do :

• Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that translate financial data into business intelligence
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across financial performance and operations
• Support and improve core financial processes, including reconciliations, funding claims, and data validation
• Partner with finance and business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and ensure data integrity
• Automate manual processes using Power Query, Power Automate, or similar tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Provide training and guidance to finance users to strengthen data literacy and adoption of BI tools
• Document processes, establish best practices, and continuously look for ways to simplify workflows

About You

You’re a finance professional with a passion for technology, analysis, and innovation. You understand both the ‘why’ behind the numbers and the tools that make them meaningful.

You’ll bring :

• Financial Acumen : Experience in finance operations, reporting, or systems accounting
• Analytical & Technical Skills : Proficiency in Power BI, Excel Power Tools, and data visualisation. Experience with automation tools (e.g. Power Automate, Alteryx, or similar) is a plus
• Process Improvement Mindset : Proven ability to streamline and optimise workflows within finance environments
• Data Management : Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets
• Collaboration : Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage finance and non-finance stakeholders alike
