About the Role - The BU Head will drive the assigned portfolio's overall strategic and operational success. This role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of the product portfolio, from market analysis and R&D collaboration to commercial execution and market expansion. The successful candidate will be a results-driven leader with a deep understanding of the respective therapy area and a proven track record of building high-performing teams, driving revenue growth, and managing cross-functional stakeholders in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute the business strategy for the BU, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and maximizing market share in a competitive landscape.
- P&L Management : Drive & grow P&L for the business unit, ensuring optimal resource allocation, cost management, and revenue generation to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Product Portfolio Management : Oversee the lifecycle of existing products and collaborate with R&D, regulatory, and marketing teams to launch new products. Ensure the portfolio is optimized for both short-term growth and long-term sustainability.
- Market Expansion & Sales Growth : Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in both existing and emerging markets. Lead go-to-market strategies, pricing, sales campaigns, and market access initiatives to achieve sales objectives.
- Cross-functional collaboration : Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and R&D teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Leadership & Talent Development : Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Ensure continuous development of team capabilities through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis : Monitor market trends, the competitive landscape, and patient needs. Based on market dynamics, including regulatory changes, reimbursement strategies, and competitor activities, provide insights and strategic recommendations.
- Compliance & Ethical Standards : Ensure that all business activities within the business unit comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
