What You Should Know About This Job
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales - Assistant Manager to expand our footprint in the Indian market for sawn timber and plywood . This role requires a sales professional with strong industry connections, product knowledge, and the ability to independently manage client relationships and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities :
Identify and develop new business opportunities in sawn timber and plywood segmentsManage and grow relationships with distributors, dealers, and key accountsUnderstand customer requirements and provide tailored solutionsMonitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategyAchieve monthly and quarterly sales targetsCoordinate with internal supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveriesParticipate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and client meetings as neededDesired Profile :
4-5 years of B2B / B2C sales experience in timber, plywood, or allied building materialsStrong understanding of timber products, especially in South and North India marketsExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsSelf-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding targetsAbility to travel across regions as per business needsPreferred Qualification :
Graduate from the Forest Research Institute (FRI) or related academic background in forestry / wood sciences will be a strong plus
