Role Overview :
- We are seeking a Senior Manager - App Retention & Engagement to lead strategies that keep users active, engaged, and transacting on the Stashfin app.
- This is a high-impact role focused on building automated, data-led campaigns across the user lifecycle - from onboarding to churn prevention and win-back. Your mission is to maximize LTV, reduce churn, and deepen user engagement with credit and financial tools offered by the app.
Key Responsibilities :
User Retention & Lifecycle Strategy :
Build and own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing framework from Day 0 onboarding to long-term retention.Segment users based on behavior, credit usage, transaction activity, and churn risk to design personalized journeys.Drive retention KPIs like Day 7 / 30 / 90 retention, stickiness, and MAU-to-DAU ratios.Multi-Channel Engagement :
Design and deploy campaigns across push notifications, in-app messaging, SMS, email, and WhatsApp.Continuously test message copy, frequency, timing, and deep links to optimize engagement and reduce opt-outs.Collaborate with product and tech to trigger event-based nudges and real-time communications.Win-Back & Churn Prevention :
Identify inactive or dormant users and create structured win-back campaigns using incentives, new features, or education.Build predictive churn models (with analytics team) and intervene with preemptive nudges and offers.Track and optimize reactivation journeys to reduce user drop-offs post-install or post-KYC.Data-Driven Optimization :
Own dashboards and insights for user health scores, cohort retention, campaign performance, and segment movement.Work closely with product, analytics, and credit risk teams to align retention strategies with user intent and financial behavior.Tooling & Automation :
Leverage tools like MoEngage, WebEngage, CleverTap, or Braze to build automated journeys and trigger-based flows.Ensure proper event tagging and campaign tracking via Firebase / AppsFlyer for attribution.Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Work with product and design to build in-app engagement features (checklists, gamification, rewards, etc.).Align with credit, collections, and support teams to resolve frictions that drive churn or low engagement.Qualifications & Skills :
7-10 years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or retention marketing roles in app-first companies.Strong expertise in user segmentation, journey building, and multichannel marketing.Proficiency in lifecycle platforms like MoEngage / CleverTap / Braze / WebEngage, and attribution tools like AppsFlyer.Solid analytical mindset; able to work with cohort reports, funnel drop-offs, and LTV models.Creative thinker with hands-on experience in copywriting, A / B testing, and behavioral campaigns.Experience in fintech or BFSI a strong plus.What You'll Get :
