Fleetx.io - Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS

Description :

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of strong AWS and automation experience to join our DevOps engineering team.

You will own and operate production infrastructure, drive best practices in CI / CD and observability, and ensure zero-downtime deployments.

This role demands hands-on expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, automation (Terraform / Ansible), and security hardening, along with the ability to safely perform production changes and Responsibilities : Infrastructure & Automation :

• Design, build, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / Ansible, ensuring repeatable and auditable provisioning.
• Own Kubernetes clusters (EKS) - scaling, upgrades, deployments, and cluster policies.
• Implement GitOps-based automation for infrastructure and application lifecycle CI / CD & Deployment Management :
• Architect and maintain end-to-end CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
• Enforce best practices in code promotion, environment segregation, and change control.
• Ensure production changes follow defined rollout, rollback, and verification procedures.
• Implement automated testing, security scanning, and compliance checks within Observability & Reliability :
• Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and tracing using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenSearch.
• Define SLIs / SLOs for core systems and automate incident detection and response.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive post-incident reviews for continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify system bottlenecks and drive reliability Security & Compliance :
• Enforce IAM least privilege, key rotation, and secret management (AWS Secrets Manager / Vault).
• Implement network segmentation, security groups, and VPC best practices.
• Collaborate with the security team for CIS benchmarks, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with SOC2, ISO 27001, and internal change management Cost & Performance Optimization :
• Lead FinOps initiatives : cost tracking, instance right-sizing, auto-scaling, and resource tagging.
• Build dashboards for infrastructure utilization and cost visibility.
• Partner with finance and product teams to balance performance with cost Qualifications :
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles managing production-grade systems.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, ALB / NLB).
• Experience in Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and Docker-based microservice deployments.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
• Skilled in CI / CD implementation and release management (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, Loki).
• Sound understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and SSL / TLS.
• Proven ability to execute production deployments safely and document operational changes.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
