Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Reviewer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of proven experience in U.S. tax preparation and review, with strong expertise in QuickBooks and Drake Tax Software. This role requires accuracy, compliance knowledge, and the ability to guide preparers by reviewing individual and business tax returns to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Review individual (1040) and business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IRS and state regulations.
• Ensure correct application of tax laws, credits, deductions, and exemptions.
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and potential audit risks in prepared returns.
• Supervise, guide, and provide feedback to tax preparers.
• Maintain strong documentation and reviewer notes for audit trails.
• Use QuickBooks for bookkeeping reviews and cross-checking financial data before tax preparation.
• Leverage Drake Tax Software for efficient return review and filing.
• Stay updated with changes in U.S. federal and state tax laws.
• Coordinate with clients to clarify financial records, missing documents, or discrepancies.
• Support process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency of tax operations.
