Job Summary
Eaton's Corporate IT team is seeking a System Analyst – EDI to join our EDI team. This role is pivotal in driving enterprise digitization and supporting our global B2B EDI customers across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.
As part of our product-centric, results-driven IT model, the System Analyst will play a key role in enabling efficient, scalable EDI solutions that align with Eaton's digital transformation goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery, continuous improvement, and alignment with architectural standards.
Responsibilities
Partner with the EDI Product Owner to decompose epics into actionable features and user stories that align with strategic business goals.
Collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a prioritized and groomed Product Backlog, ensuring clarity and readiness for development.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and propose effective EDI-based solutions.
Support sprint planning by assisting in the estimation of epics, features, technical enablers, and user stories.
Ensure all user stories meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) to facilitate efficient agile development cycles.
Provide Level 3 support for EDI-related incidents, performing root cause analysis and driving timely resolution.
Liaise with cross-functional teams including Customer Service, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and IT to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
Manage scope and change control through gap analysis, process compliance, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Analyze the impact of business process changes on EDI systems and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business operations.
Lead end-to-end partner onboarding activities, including configuration, mapping, and validation across SAP EDI and Sterling Integrator platforms.
Support ERP migration and transformation initiatives from an EDI standpoint, ensuring continuity and data integrity across B2B interfaces.
Monitor and optimize EDI transaction flows, proactively identifying and resolving performance issues, errors, and bottlenecks.
Maintain EDI documentation including process flows, partner specifications, and integration guides to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
Stay current with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in EDI capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as : B.E / BTech / MCA / Equivalent or B.Sc
8 to 12 years of SAP EDI and Sterling B2B Integrator experience
Skills
Must Have Skills
Strong understanding of EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT)
Experience working on Sterling B2B Integrator EDI platform
Hands-on SAP EDI partner onboarding
Working knowledge of JIRA
Nice to Have Skills
Familiarity with SAP SD module
Effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts
Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences
Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively across different product teams
Patience and empathy when working with developers and testers
Experience working with diverse, global cultures, organizations and teams
